Sunday, February 28, 2016 - Very nice example of Northern Rhone Syrah, and as others note, probably at or very close to its peak. Wonderful floral aromatics, violets, lavender and earth. On the palate a salty minerality came to the fore, followed by a complex meddle of rustic dark cherry and raspberry. Good length on the finish, which concluded with a hint of acidity. Much better than the basic Saint Joseph and syrah from the same producer, decent value but there's a lots to choose from at the price point ($33).
