An elegant St. Joseph, with subtle hints of herbs. This has certainly shed any baby fat it may have had, the tannins have melded, and the palate impression is graceful. A good example of a syrah with some age, even if it's just very good rather than spectacular. I enjoyed this, and while I don't see a lot of upside, it doesn't seem ready to fall off a cliff.

This was a great example of silky syrah from a great year in the Northern Rhone. I'd say it's still got some good years ahead of but, alas, this was my last bottle. Wah!

Very nice example of Northern Rhone Syrah, and as others note, probably at or very close to its peak. Wonderful floral aromatics, violets, lavender and earth. On the palate a salty minerality came to the fore, followed by a complex meddle of rustic dark cherry and raspberry. Good length on the finish, which concluded with a hint of acidity. Much better than the basic Saint Joseph and syrah from the same producer, decent value but there's a lots to choose from at the price point ($33).

For me it had an off taste. Hard to describe. Kind of harsh but then seemed mature . Maybe the fruit has dropped. Maybe an off bottle.

Beautiful example of a great drinking, Northern Rhone from a great vintage. Hold or drink, depending on what you've got on hand. Wish I had more.
