Sunday, August 20, 2006 - Nice nose of cedar and cassis. Strong tasting at this point, with lots of currants and plums. The wine is light on the palate with a good amount of acidilty and tart flavors. The petite verdot stood out, and not in a good way. This component seems out of balance with the rest of the flavors, and to me resulted in an awkward tasting wine. I hope it integrates better as the wine ages.
