90 Points

Monday, November 3, 2014 - Rich, quite intense nose of yeast, leather, cassis and hints of vanilla, but the surprise came from the first sip - very tannic, not at all what I had expected. Behind the cloak of quite bitter tannins, there is good fruit, although I found it hard to pinpoint which ones, and the intensity is not enough to cope at the moment. My cellar is cold, so this could be a later developer than others' bottles, but I'm not sure how this will turn out. Tasted good with a chicken casserole, but a little brittle and green on its own.
