Sunday, August 16, 2015 - With Sandy. 7th time of tasting since '08 and drinking well since '13. Consistently big blackcurrant nose (apart from 1 slightly dumb nosed bottle at the Wine Society, the rest being from my own case en primeur). Barnyard noted on previous 2 occasions absent this time. Sweet soft fruit as a result of more Merlot than usual for the left bank. A little one dimensional to warrant a higher score, although could still improve. Long with touch of bitterness on the finish not detracting. Enjoyable and typically Comtesse. Will be at its best over the next few years.
