Sunday, December 6, 2015 - I enjoyed this a little more than my last bottle as it was slightly softer and more expressive. Needed 2hrs air to show well. Aromatic nose of bdx funk, mild green herbs, and strong cigar leaf and cedar spice. Palate was fine, slightly linear, but with a terrific red currant character and leafy herb quality. Lengthy finish. Drink or hold over the next 5-10yrs, but given its accessibility now, can be enjoyed now. Compared to the '01 Pontet Canet on the same night, this a little less "square" and with a little more complexity.
