Saturday, July 23, 2016 - A good showing. Had double decanted for approx 90 minute before carting off to an event. Deep purple coloring, very elegant violet and plum aromas. I thought this opened very nicely in the glass. Some cassis, plum and kirsch. Among a range ofsome mid 90s and 05s from various Pauillac and St. Estephes that were its company, I thought this Lalande was the most 'in the zone' - it terms of readiness and palate. Approachable with a decant but still has the structure to be interesting over the next decade plus. Gets a BT thumbs up.
