90 Points

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - This is a good bottle of wine that is drinking well at this point and probably will not be a long-term ager. It has a more earthy profile than I find typical for Lalande but still manages to preserve the elegance and finese that we expect from this house. It has tobacco and peppar on the nose. It tastes of dark, somewhat lean black fruit on the palate. I find little tannin in the finish. If you do drink this I would decant it as the mid-section did put on weight in the glass and it did begin to develop some of the savorines that this wine is known for in other vintages.
