Wednesday, November 19, 2008 - Opened bottle, ~ 2 hrs before drinking, and am glad I did. Enjoyable nose with dark fruit and toast being dominant and hits of leather, cedar, and oak noticable. The expected blackberry/plum style dark fruit is present from the beginning and lasts as the tannic structure becomes more evident before fading away. The cedar and toast on the nose makes an appearance as well. The evolution is smooth and well integrated. As the structure and fruit die off, a faint sweet component makes an appearance as the finish carries on for a good length of time. A few times I thought it was done only to have a new sensation rise. Very enjoyable.
