Sunday, September 18, 2022 - 49% Chardonnay from Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger and 51% Pinot Noir from Ay, Verzenay, Verzy, Bouzy. Aged on lees for 10 years with no malolatic fermenation and 9 g/l dosage. Disgorged December 2010.

Pours a medium gold. A layered and inviting nose that’s slightly oxidative in style with bruised yellow apples, cinder toffee, sandalwood, dried yellow flowers, toffee apple, sultanas steeped in baking spices, orange blossom, marzipan, and a mineral component of brass cookware. The palate - while appearing far younger and less complex than the nose - is bright and harmonious with bruised yellow apples, blanched almonds, and flakes of sea salt.
