Sunday, December 25, 2011 - The fill was into the neck and the cork was pristine; popped, poured and consumed over the course of 3 hours. An exotic and extroverted bouquet, offering up notes of cedary black fruits, white truffle, barnyard, fennel, and roasted herbs. On the palate, this was a bit more angular than previous bottles (last tasted 3+ years ago) with the acids much more prominent than I remember. I'll drink my remaining bottles in the short term, as the '90 L'Evangile seems to be in decline from the rather monumental heights it held only a few short years ago.
