Wednesday, January 15, 2014 - Opened late but decanted. Early sips revealed a gentle, gentle nose of rosé and tobacco, but the mouth was still tight. Drank another bottle while waiting (a Lazio white, strange creature but simple) and after 2 hours l'Evangile revealed herself but to be supple, smooth, nicely age softened but absolutely bold with Pomerol favors of blackberry, herb. Powerful mid-mouth and 60 second+ finish.

In short an amazing wine. I'll be looking for more.
