Saturday, September 24, 2005 - Tasted at Mas retaurant in NYC, not decanted. Nose was heavy and perfumed with bright, sweet fruit and mellow spice. Right out of the bottle, the wine was smooth and delicately balanced with depth of flavor moving from the initial fruitiness to a more floral and somewhat mineral finish. The wine has mellowed and become more integrated since last tasting about a year ago. I have encountered a lot of bottle variation, but this one was mature and powerful, but oh so feminine.
