Friday, November 9, 2018 - HDH Bordeaux Auction; 11/9/2018-11/10/2018 (Chicago, IL): Fitting for the season, without a doubt. Autumnal on the nose, with incredible perfume -- a hint of cabernet franc, some plush fruit, a bit of dried figs, and some crispy autumn leaves. The palate shows a hint of smoke, as well as gentle fruit, earth, and dried leaves. It's plush, and doesn't show any overripe pruney notes, but plenty of generous dried fruit. Perfumed and delicate, and extremely delicious. At prime now for my palate.
