Sunday, December 12, 2021 - A beautiful Pomerol in its peak drinking window, it does need a couple of hours in the decanter to blow off barnyard funk. The nose is packed with ripe berry fruit and leather with some wafts of vanilla. The palate is well balanced and is developed. I do concur with another reviewer that the finish, although a decent length, is a little dry and does prevent a higher rating. I would question whether this is a wine for the long haul, and my instinct is that it needs to be drunk over the next 5 years to enjoy it at its best.
