Thursday, January 5, 2012 - This is a very good entry level sparkler from Cedric Bouchard. Although it does not have the same amount of depth or complexity as the 2008 based Roses de Jeanne Les Ursules, it is still a very well balanced wine with a good depth of flavors and minerality. I get Blackberry, kiwi, citrus, strong minerality, and a little bit of natural sweetness even though this wine has no dosage. This is very light for a pinot based wine and would be best served on its own or with light appetizers rather than with a meal. Pick this up if you can find it for under $50. Once you get over the $50 range there are too many other great champagne's that are a better value in my eyes. For example, this cannot compare with the 2002 Camille Saves at the same price point.
