Monday, May 11, 2020 - Alas, my last bottle of this wine. I have enjoyed drinking these very much. The floral notes in the aroma have been one of my favorite aspects of my tasting experience for this wine. Also found nice wet earth, mineral and a bit of oak in the nose. The tart tannins on the palette were very nice, cherry, leather and a bit of pepper on the finish were the defining characteristics for me. A nice long finish. Drank this with a 2004 Grand Pontet, which I felt was just a bit below this bottle for quality.
