Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - "Non-Baller" Wines, Take 6 (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): this white rhone blend had an incredible dark honey color in the glass. i love the intensity of aromas on this wine. lots of pineapple, candied pear, apricot and even some lychee. the palate is very oily, and the alcohol does show a decent amount. baked apple flavors along with some cinnamon and white pepper. the nose is just wonderful, but the palate is a bit of a let down.
