Thursday, April 19, 2007 - Just slightly more than half of this was bottle was consumed, so I took the remnants to dinner the following night when Casey McClellan, winemaker of Seven Hills, was in town. This was showing much better on the second night. The wine has gained weight, and the mineral tones on both the nose and palate have become prominent, leaving the fruit and oak as subtle nuances in the background. A nice floral streak on the nose as well.
