Wednesday, October 4, 2023 - Nose: earth, chocolate, red fruits, strawberry, nutty, hint of cherry tomato, grassy, raspberry
Notes: the domaine is probably more well known as the other owner of Clos de Lambrays, the not so monopole monopole. This wine has an excellent nose and the overall style is seductive with a good enough structure and body to demonstrate the Gevrey element in it. This is a rare breed of value for money Grand Cru today and coming from the Mazoyeres parcel which is often labeled and commercialized as Charmes Chambertin instead. This is in superb condition and very pleasant to consume now, based on its performance I think this should stand for another 10-15 years without much problem.
Drink: now - 2038
Rating: 92
