Friday, July 23, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Champagne and Burgundy (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Hedonistic nose displaying ample delicious red and black fruit, blackberry, raspberry jam, cherry, a hint of licorice, rose, grilled cep, baking spices and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of delicious red and black fruit, rich and opulent yet fluid and beautifully balanced, perfect amount of acidity and earthy mineral, and a seamless long concentrated red and black fruit driven finish. Although youthful, this is so darn expressive, drinking beautifully.
