Saturday, March 19, 2011 - NC Cindy Tasting. Still shows the light straw color with greenish tinge from the last time, and still has the nice tiny bubbles you expect from a Lambrusco. On the nose, though, this doesn't have the same subtlety as it had before, and comes across as a little medicinal. It still has that nice roundness, but lacks some of the complexity from before. The main difference from previously was the serving temperature, as previously this was chilled and this time we had it room temperature. We put it in an ice bucket for 30 minutes and it improved considerably. It still didn't rise to anything like an 89 rating, though, and the consensus was that for $16, this was at most a meh and more likely a pazz. In any case, if you get one, don't serve it too warm.
