Wednesday, April 15, 2020 - This has aging nicely. It needed a solid 4 hours in the decanter to blossom so that the fruit could balance out the acidity and mountain tannins that dominate upon opening. Once it came together, the fruit became fleshy with a velvety mouthfeel and the secondary flavors of tobacco, mocha and cedar peaked though. A flavorful finish although somewhat clipped. I would advise opening sooner than later as I'm afraid the fruit is fading and will leave an acidic, tannic wine only capable of being enjoyed with the right food.
