Thursday, June 10, 2021 - Wine Night in Charlotte -- Cork Vault Bottle Share Returns! (Charlotte, NC): double decanted 3 hours in advance. It’s about time to check in on the 2009s and what better place to start than this 100-pointer. Thanks to the double decant this wine was rocking out of the gate and it would only get better as the night rolled on (and in the years to come for that matter). Fragrant, explosive nose of rich raspberries, dark cherries, and graphite. Silky on the mouthfeel this wine displayed all the classic flavors: earthy dark fruits, cassis, tar, burnt embers wafting from a cigar box. Powerful, long finish that led me to walk away from the wine to better soak it all in. A wine that lived up to its reputation.

I too, have been amazed at how many on here don't understand the importance of air and how it can make or break a wine. Until a few years back, I was one of those people. If nothing else, we need to get the word out.......
