Tuesday, September 13, 2022 - Compared to the excellent last bottle in 2020, this one was a bit closed and disappointing. Not at all present when P&P, but then opened up after 2h of decanting. Never got close to the 2020 experience.

9/22/2022 6:19:00 PM - In my experience, Leoville Barton wines go through a “dumb” phase at 5 to 15 (maybe 20) years where the wine is opaque and the fruit hidden. I typically won’t drink them until 20 years of age. Given my age, that’s becoming an issue.
