Monday, February 12, 2024 - Opened and decanted 30-min ahead of seared sesame beef and noodles. Dark purple-crimson color. Perfumed nose brings cherry blossoms, hot blueberry pie, chocolate cherries, grape menthol, and whiffs of spearmint and pipe tobacco. The palate is medium-full, round, and textured, bringing a rich core of blackberries, plums, and blackcurrant mixed with chocolate cherries and raspberries that flows into a savory finish of wild herbs, coffee, and dark chocolate. The finish is sweet and the tannins polished. Drink 2024-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
