Nose shows spicy and grassy Cabernet Franc tones (approx. 20% cab.fr used in this), red currant, leather spices and some nice dusty cherries.
When the wine warms up, there is some alcohol showing.
Palate shows rather sweet and ripe rich fruit, black cherries, plums, hints of oak.
Creamy and plush, and becoming more jammy as it warms up.
Somewhat lacking in acidity.
Still, a nice & charming wine, ready to drink, if not from my favorite vintage.
I know that this Chateau are capable of making more complex wines, in good, cooler vintages.
