Monday, September 26, 2022 - Massive wine with lots of oak, chocolate, ripe dark plum, dark cherry, and cassis on the nose. More oak on the palate with noticeable alcohol, very very ripe flavors, more dark fruit, toast, and charred wood on the palate. Medium finish. Hard to drink and not at all my thing. Much too ripe and little finesse. However, it did taste quite a bit better on day 2 and I can appreciate the overall quality of the fruit, so I’ll give it that. Might score quite a bit higher for people who like this style of wine.
