Tuesday, January 9, 2018 - Vivid purple color that looks lively in the glass. Nose of purple fruit and some Bordeaux funk/earth.

Flavors of blackberry, cassis and plum with vanilla, licorice and green herbs playing supporting roles. Medium bodied and velvety on the tongue with firm acidity. Still tastes a bit young, this nicely proportioned, elegant wine should drink well for at least another 7 years. 14.2%abv.

Day 2: Purple berries, blackberry and green herbs dominate the palate. Tannins still present. Held up well overnight, with little change from Day 1.
