Monday, June 6, 2016 - The nose is classic black forest gateau. It’s supple with a touch of spice to the fine tannins. There’s a little grip and a touch of chalkiness on the tannins too. Nice juicy fruit on the entry with cherry and raspberry flavours and a creamy mocha character on the midpalate. There’s a lovely meaty, savoury edge which keeps this in a really drinkable place, it’s definitely not a blockbuster. In a lovely place right now.
