The nose is classic black forest gateau. It’s supple with a touch of spice to the fine tannins. There’s a little grip and a touch of chalkiness on the tannins too. Nice juicy fruit on the entry with cherry and raspberry flavours and a creamy mocha character on the midpalate. There’s a lovely meaty, savoury edge which keeps this in a really drinkable place, it’s definitely not a blockbuster. In a lovely place right now.

Not too heavy, but lots of structure. Decent fruit. Still somewhat tannic. I had this with a very rich beef dish and it was a great compliment. This wine should last for a while longer if necessary.

Not bad. I've had bigger Aussie shiraz wines that I liked much more, but this was OK. Kind of a flat profile, not as much spice as I would've expected. Not great QPR.

Opened my second of 3 bottles last night, and found we are on the verge of something QUITE lovely. The only real question at this point is, will this wine age into the greatness it has hinted at all along?
Tell tale signs of Australian terroir with brambly, juicy, zingy black raspberry. Also some cigar leaf, plum eucalyptus and menthol. What sets this wine apart thought is its distinct coolness and restraint. Iis that minerality in there? I believe we have hints of granite, wet rock and slate as well. This wine will grow up to be crazy, crazy good. Possibly even another 3-4 points.
I'm quite excited to open my last bottle iin another 2-3 years!

Red ruby, blackcurrant nose-quite sweet. Bright acidity and blackcurrants, some heat and pepper on the finish. Very good, best of five Aussie Shiraz tasted on the night.

Just got this from an online auction. Deep ruby in colour with aromas of cherry and black current balanced beautifully with the French oak. A long lingering finish tops off an excellent wine. I am surprised at some of the reviews here. Perhaps age has improved it. 94.

Bottle was good but nothing spectacular. Tight and took a long time to open up. First glass alone. Second glass with food was better. Definitely a food wine.

Didn't take good notes on this wine. I wasn't overly impressed, and even had trouble remembering that we had tasted this wine during the evening. It was pleasant enough to drink, but not enough to be memorable.

Quite light with pronounced acidity. Red fruits, medium finish. Last glass the best so probably better in a couple of years. Good but pricey

Very smooth Shiraz with character. Definitely needs decanting for a couple of hours.

For $55, I wouldn't buy again but as the super special deal at Seattle Wine Co for $17.95 - it's worth it.
