Wednesday, June 22, 2016 - Past its prime when opened. Came off a bit "funky" at first until it had some time in the glass. Settled down a bit and revealed some of its fruit, but there were definite predominant tertiary notes (worn leather, musk, some wet earth). Interesting, though not exactly entirely pleasing. It did, however, go very well with our steak - the strong, (over?)developed flavors married well with the heartiness of the meat.
