Monday, May 5, 2008 - Cherry purple color, light and clear. A bit thin on the palate at first, with plentiful but pleasing tannins, ripe grape and black cherry that develop with time in the glass, with good acidity, judicious oak, and restrained alcohol. Lingering, fruity finish. I'd enjoy drinking this now and for the next several years, despite the tannins and acidity, as the stuffing may not be here for aging. This is a lovely wine, almost Burgundian in its lightness and elegance.
