Sunday, September 19, 2010 - Deep red to purple color. Tight initially. Really wound up. With air, the nose gets gamey (ha ha), with iron too. Really dense and powerful palate presence; yet the wine is not heavy. There is a lot of material here, or at least that's the impression. The darkish fruit leaves a lasting impression on the palate. A powerful wine; all funky and rocky.Good stuff at $24 locally. My first '09 and it looks good.
