Wednesday, April 17, 2019 - Deep yellow. A blast of honey and truffle right out of the bottle receded after about an hour of air, and then the aromatics became a bit fuzzy with yellow apple and rich broth. Full bodied for Chablis, enveloping feel, yellow orchard fruit rather than citrus, average acidity, strong soil component. Maturing, definitely not thrilling, and honestly could use more zip, but my initial concerns about oxidation were not borne out. Last tasted 2 years ago. My reactions to this over the years have been mixed, but I felt more excited about the bottle I drank in 2016.
