Another classic and excellent Barolo, but this suffered slightly in that it was next to the absolutely stunning 1967. In many ways, the two were very similar wines, but the 1967 just had a little more density to it than this. The 1971 did show a little more ripeness and sweetness in comparison. Again, a silky and elegant bottle of Cappellano.
