Sunday, June 29, 2008 - a hint of gold, but not much color. lovely nose of chalk, mineral, petrol, and lemon. typical CFE aromatics. Much more consistent with other vintages than I expected from this soft Alsace vintage, and past experience with this wine after its release. Has firmed up in a good way. Lost baby fat, and is more of a traditional CFE, which is fine in my book. Ready to drink. Palate of the lemon chalk, and some petrol type development. Acids maybe a bit softer than normal, but a nice showing for this vintage. nice balance, med weight, and acides carry the fruit through a long finish. very nice.
