Thursday, June 9, 2022 - Dark ruby, subdued nose that opens to reveal dark fruit and garrigue, and rich smooth mouthfeel, more graceful than expected for a wine with ~15% alcohol (although that was the style then). Tasted in conjunction with Janasse Chaupin CdP, same vintage, at a send-off dinner for friends who were departing on a trip to France. The Chaupin had more fruit and was more elegant (not a surprise), and the Charvin was more savory and equally delicious.
