Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - From memory, a St. Georges villages without the stoney edge of youthful St. Georges or the slightly burnt taste of some youthful 2009s. Surprisingly round and spicy, suggesting vineyards on the Vosne end of the appellation. Really very nice for the $25 tarrif. Lacks the edge of acid ballast to fruit-derived flavors you look for in a Burgundy, at any level, and thus doesn't evolve especially well beyond a day in the bottle. I imagine this is a characteristic of the warm vintage.

While I much enjoyed this wine, I fail to understand demand for it that supports the current $50+ pricing I see for recent vintages.
