Monday, October 30, 2006 - Clear pale gold core of moderate intensity out to a pale watery rim - youthful in appearance with either some oak or warm growing season
Clean new oak, coconut, some funky estery notes - volatile but not VA or anything detrimental - along with some straw, hay, pineapple and lime of moderate+ intensity
Dry wine with clean flavours of oak and butter (looking around for the popcorn) with moderate acid, mod+ alcohol and moderate body. Very well balanced with tropical fruit (pineapple and guava) of mod intensity.
The finish is moderate to moderately long and full of rich oak, vanilla and toast/smoke.
Extremely well made - very well balanced so it can be drunk with pleasure now but will develop for 5+ years elegantly.
