  • Pre-New Year with Robin Part 1 - Twixmas: 14% alc; intense, mid yellow to slightly. browning rim.

Penetrating aromas of dried sage, pulverised rocks, pineapple and yellow flowers. A haunting savoury overlay intrigues.
A juicy entry with creme fraiche suggests breadth, yet the wine is far more linear and raked back with a spine of sharp acidity. Whilst there is an evolution in glass, the wine is in good shape and delivers fresh herbs, pineapple and yellow peach. It unwound in the glass, revealing more complex notes, lift, and a herbal/floral subtlety. Fabulous!

  • [Notes: this wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, not Rossese as the varietal suggests] Deep, golden straw yellow with tints of greenness. The nose is very heavily influenced by the oak treatment, giving beautiful secondary characteristics of nuttiness and marzipan, indicative of its development. The oak just as apparent on the palate but with a very refreshing, zesty citrus lift, which cuts through some of the heavier flavours. Buttery, Chardonnay character very prevalent, and New World in style, very enjoyable ****

  • The nose of this wine had pear and oak aromas. The palate was consistent with some apple and citrus flavors becoming more noticable as the wine warmed up slightly. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium length finish.

  • Clear pale gold core of moderate intensity out to a pale watery rim - youthful in appearance with either some oak or warm growing season
Clean new oak, coconut, some funky estery notes - volatile but not VA or anything detrimental - along with some straw, hay, pineapple and lime of moderate+ intensity
Dry wine with clean flavours of oak and butter (looking around for the popcorn) with moderate acid, mod+ alcohol and moderate body. Very well balanced with tropical fruit (pineapple and guava) of mod intensity.
The finish is moderate to moderately long and full of rich oak, vanilla and toast/smoke.
Extremely well made - very well balanced so it can be drunk with pleasure now but will develop for 5+ years elegantly.
