Tuesday, August 2, 2005 - The colour is deep red. On the nose a lot of sweet oak and dark cherries but the oak seems overwhelming. On the palate hard tannins, bitter cherries. In fact in general a very hardwine with the oak beeing much to present, in fact so much that the fruit has disappeared. IMHO, this is an example of a barbera that has been spoilt by to much barrique. Avoid - not at all my taste. No balance at all and boring due to the lack of fruit.
