Monday, December 17, 2012 - A very polished wine that is also big and rich with ripe cassis and black cherry fruit. Thick and viscious with a plush, smooth texture and thoroughly ripe tannins. Really improved after a 2-hr double-decant. This is an impressive Ornellaia that is still fairly primary and it should show improved nuance and complexity on the finish as it ages further. 93+
