Wednesday, November 4, 2015 - Very strong, ultra-ripe nose with notes of cassis and black plums. Quite full and ripe on the entry with a decadent opulence and flavors of black fruits and bitter chocolate. The finish saves the wine with good tannic grip and good mineral crunch. Just over the edge on ripeness for me so I can't take this all that seriously. Confirms for me why I collect Nebbiolo for aging over other alternatives in Italy.
