Palate immediately displays a richness that is mind boggling, and after the tasting week I just came off of I know mind boggling. It shows some pretty spring flowers amongst a solid wall of black/red fruits of currant, blackberries and plum. This is a powerhouse that left shyness at the door; if full throttle and coming at ya without actually hitting you upside the head. You need to respect a wine like that. Balance is very nice but today this is all about the richness. It certainly is rich and expressive. A perfect Saturday where I have nowhere to be and the only appointment I have is with my Weber grill. The black fruits retain hold of this gutsy enjoyable wine and finish goes on and on. Now I need to find me more of this.....
