  • Not sure what to make of this one, definitely requiring air to express something; does not seem corky nor faulted, but somehow a bit awkward; some people in the party liked it; very browny hue; some fruit in the nose; a somewhat mellow attack, quiet middle, some tannins; quite tame - seems a bit dead, but does live up a bit with air/time; tasted with Aalto PS same year which I clearly liked better

  • Had these in storage for the past nine years. Opened and decanted a bottle and let sit for an hour. The nose was all fruit with a hint of chocolate. The palate was dark cherry, plum, tobacco, and a hint of sage. The finish was moderately long and smooth bring out a touch of chocolate. A really nice wine.

  • Dark color, nose of cigar and black chocolate, dark fruits, but thin and watery body, long after taste. It’s my first encounter with this wine and I like the nose.

  • Dark Ruby red. Cocoa. Soft and smooth. Medium-to-full body. Short finish. Overrated.

  • Cork molded and soft, destroyed when opened; plenty of fruit and body with nice sweetness, but some corkiness also; seems good but not rated

  • Dark red towards black; dark fruit, tobacco, mocca; ripe blackberries, smooth and fruity; really good, tasted 2000 yesterday - 2000 notably better, more “ready” - leave 2006 for some years, likely to improve towards excellence

  • Spanish Sipping 'n Snacking Sunday. Sixth wine of the seven, fourth red

THE drop from Muga, ageing of 6 months in wooden vats, 18 months in new French oak barrels and at least 12 months in bottle. Seriously!? Despite the price, which is not inexpensive, we hope they somehow can make money...and keep producing this rockstar!

Deep, black cherry on the eye...the opposite of transparent or event murky.

Warm, mature, berry berries (blackberries and strawberries) with hints of black pepper. Toasty oak engulfs your nose.

Full-bodied, big-boned lady with near perfect dirty-velvet tannins with a sophisticated and exceedingly long finish.

We think another decade of development might just nudge this middle-aged lady to the point of unparalleled "catwalk" status.

Oh My Ears and Whiskers...this is a stunner!

  • Drank for wife's 30th birthday, waaay too soon, this needs at least another 10 years if not more. Decanted for 4 hours and was still extremely tight. Lots of spice, huge tannins. Next time, be more careful with sediment in bottle. I can tell this has a lot to offer, it just needs more time to develop.
