Big, powerful Dry Creek Cab with a 40 second finish. This is still going strong and got better as it warmed in my glass. I envy those who still have bottles left in their cellars.

drank as part of a small vertical of 2004 thru 2008. 2007 was the clear winner. dark fruit, good tannin, great acid, great length of finish. Very earthy finish.
four of five people had this wine as their favorite.

Popped and poured with a roasted chicken dinner. Nice minerality and black fruit with a great long finish. Grippy tannins to begin and evolved nicely after an hour. Could use a 1-2 hour decant or another year in cellar.

Beautiful garnet color when held to light. The legs show a certain viscosity making the anticipation of the texture delightful. Heavily tannic nose (needs to breathe) that immediately moves into the classic black currant of a Cab with just a slight touch of tobacco. Wonderful opening with just the right balance of ripe fruit and tannins. A classic example of Dry Creek terroir. The earth is balanced by some spice and the tannins are complimented with honeysuckle, and black cherry. Mid taste is a bit uneventful, but the finish is long with the residual notes of oak, loam, chalk (in a good way) and chocolat.

Aromatic cassis, earth, leather, leaves, with a touch of mint; beautiful richness with structure and balance; nice medium finish, but excellent balance and character.

a little tannic - needs to sit in the cellar another year or two, but will be excellent later.

This is the essence of Dry Creek Valley. I call this Mike Brunson's pure and liquid Dry Creek Gold. Nervous that don't have enough in the cellar.

Brought to birthday dinner at CP. Did not have any myself, however, the cab lover at the table said it was very good.
