Going off memory. Served with grilled steak. it was ok. Hard not to enjoy something not too sweet and bubbly, but beyond that I didn't get a ton of character. A bit off sweet, don't recall any specific flavors.

So it has been almost exactly a year since we last tasted this Prosecco, and this is most assuredly a different, current release. Though the last release was terribly simple. This one seems to have body and character in the base wine, which translates to amore interesting sparkler. This one has a little more to it than just acid and bubbles. There is a ton of tart white apple that wins the conflictwith the big acid this time.

Friday Walk Around Tasting at Sam's Fine Wine & Spirits, Lexington, SC 10/17/2014 (Sam's Fine Wines & Spirits, Lexington, SC): As Prosecco goes, this one is more simple than most. Beside the bracing acidity, and refreshing bubbles, there is not much going on. We don't buy Prosecco for it's complexity, we buy it because we are thirsty. I had this as the first taste of the day, and had no reason to complain. It cleanses the palate, provides a modest lemon/lime taste on the finish, and doesn't break the bank.

Tight nose at first - not much of anything but then warming up into syrupy tropical fruit. A little Juicy Fruit gum and guava. The tropical notes transfer over to the palate offering a syrupy and unsophisticated profile. Not digging this bottle at all - big pass for me.

Cheap and tastes like it, but it was actually a relatively enjoyable version of this category. Worked fine in a spritz.

NFN. Simple and would be perfect for mimosas. Great dryiness. Low 80s.

A creation of Domaine Select as a label. But consistent winery and vineyard sources. The winery is one of the Fontanell property.
