Golden from the age andvwell-preserved. Distinct legs. Butterscotch and caramel with notes of Meyer lemon, baked pear and muted florals. Long finish. Very nice.

Medium golden. Nice nose with floral notes, hay, some honey and a little (just a little) oak. Lightly creamy mouthfeel, but not overly so with good acidity. Flavors not quite as expressive as the aromas. A bit more alcohol on the nose and palate than I expected as it warms.

Fine, still only pale to mid gold. Vanilla, flowers and lemons on nose. Great weight, lovely acidity. Still quite fresh. Butter but not overtly so. Citrus, Some chalky complexity.Slightly nutty, more macadamia than walnut. Great length. Really good wine, very balanced, towards elegant.

Smooth and creamy with a pleasant and nicely balanced acidic finish. More restrained than most California Chardonnay but still unmistakably new world in style.

Surprising Chardonnay from California. Eyes closed i would have gone for Burgundy. Nice pale yellow robe and the nose is mineral with a touch of citrus but nothing overpowering. In mouth the wine is very smooth with this little fresh hay/straw that you sometimes get. Very nice.

Santa Barbara Trip - July 2011; 7/1/2011-7/6/2011: Tasted at the tasting room in SB. Now we are talking - a nice chard. Slightest touch of oak on the nose, with some smoke showing through with aggressive aeration. Lighter in style, but retains a rich/smooth mouthfeel. A good amount of acidity shines through, as does some lemon zest on the palate.

Pale straw coloured. Lovely delicate mineral filled nose. Bright and clean with the lightest touch of caramel. Unlike the Los Alamos this is made in much more of a restrained style, it is clean and citrus fresh with a subtle creaminess and a slightly bitter mocha and butterscotch flavour on the finish.
