Pop and pour with continuous swirling. Beautiful, deep opaque plum color. Vanilla, oak and cassis bouquet with a hint of muskiness. Delightful blueberry, cassis and vanilla with the blue fruit leading the way. Full body and medium acidity. Silky smooth tannins fading. This is a simple, luscious wine that is still drinking very well and will be appreciated by those that like a smooth, fruit forward cab from Napa. It would score higher, but has a very short and rounded finish at first approach. Very tasty, but drinks more like a smoothed out red blend than a typical Cab single varietal style. It does gain some gravitas with more air, but not significantly so.

Pop and pour. Clear dark garnet dense core to an almost non-existent rim. Clean but deep and dense nose of dark fruit, earth, vanilla and a touch of oak - still slightly reticent. Very smooth on the palate with medium acidity, alcohol, body and medium plus but very ripe and smooth tannins. Flavours of dark fruit, deft touch of oak, dark chocolate, vanilla and loamy earth. Medium length finish indicating there's much more to come in time. Very, very good quality but still a baby although enjoyable now. Drink now but can cellar and develop for 5-8 years.

Great value. I enjoyed the classic Napa cab nose and taste. Other favorable postings are spot on. Hard to beat for the price. I'm going to hold my remaining 2008's for a couple of years.

decanted 45 minutes and served around 65 degrees with beef tenderloin. really quite delicious, screams napa cab on every sip. the fruit notes (not the wine, but the fruit notes) are just a touch on the sweet side, which is an interesting little twist in an otherwise traditional wine - cola, cherry, vanilla. The mouthfeel is superb - ultra smooth with the tannins present but not clobbering you. very well enjoyed.

pop and pour with filet. strong fruit nose and tannins at first. by the end of the meal, the wine mellows. suttle fruit flavors, some chocolate, and pepper. tannins subside some, and compliment the finish. not too complex, but enjoyable and tastey. decant next time. would buy again.

Even better than the 07, the 08 is devine, especially for $35. This polished wine is absolutely loaded with spicy current, vanilla and mocha with this killer cherry cola finish that just lingers. If you want a gratuitous Cabernet at a Tues night price, this is your wine! Also a huge crowd pleaser for group dinners.
-- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

Always a great value, and a nice everyday alternative to the higher priced Darioush products. Not as extracted or concentrated as the expensive stuff, but still offers a classic profile of cassis, dark fruilt, smoke, and earth. 92 points

Blackberry, plum and vanilla in the nose. On the palate this wine showed better structure than many of the others we tasted, with nice tannins and some acidity. The fruit: though the fruit was concentrated and intense it was somehow monodimensional. There could have been more complexity, and more typicity. Not a bad wine though, easy drinking. Good now, will hold.

Excellent wine. This vintage may be better than the 2007. Dark, concentrated fruit with a soft and almost velvety mouthfeel. Nice balance between fruit and oak. Good value at this price point.

Boston Wine Festival 2011 Opening night. Quite liked this and now that I see the price point even more so. Easy drinking but with a bit of adding complexity with a nice mocha component. Paired well with the short rib.

Still tannic, loosened up at the end of the second day to show itself with blue fruit and casis.

Good but not amazing. Rather simple. Short finish. Nice dark fruit with a slight touch of Carmel.

Dark red in color. Bold nose of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. Thick in the mouth, flavors of roasted toffee, blackberries and cherry. Very nice.
